5.1.1.3. General

5.1.1.5. Preservation. Immediately after cleaning and drying, surfaces
that are subject to corrosion or deterioration shall be treated with a
petroleum (P-type) preservative. Preservation shall be in accordance ith any

applicable method of MIL-P-116 except that preservatives P-6 is not authorized
for use. Excessive use of preservative compounds shall be avoided. Petroleum
(P-type) preservative compounds shall nut be applied to non-metallicitems,
corrosion resistant metal, or metal that is treated or painted to resist
corrosion.

5.1.1.6. Technical data . Technical data furnished shall be placed in a
waterproof, greaseproof bag, sealed and and attached to the table or placed in
the box containing the table.

5.1.1.8. Fire bricks. The fire bricks shall be packed in their own
separate container. The number of bricks in each container shall be
commensurate with industry standards. The container shall conform to
PPP-B-636 and be sized to minimize the movement of the bricks. These
containers shall then be placed in the shipping containerth the table.

Worktables and shelving shall be preserved in accordance
with MIL-STD-1190.

5.2. Packing. Packing shall be Level A, B, C, or Commercial as
specified (see 6.2.1).
